Opportunities

“Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity.”

Colossians 4:5

Opportunities will be provided for students to develop life skills through hands-on work experience. As a gap-year program, we will seek to provide opportunities for students to acquire a job. The academy will partner with multiple churches with the hopes of connecting students with opportunities to pursue ministry or develop career skills to earn an income to support their lifestyle. As a part of the expansion proposal, the academy is seeking to construct a coffee shop and a pickleball facility that will exist on campus as a place of employment for students.

Growth Proposal

Phase 1:

Northgate Community Church and the residential building will be utilized to host and conduct Bible Classes, Mentor Meetings, School Assemblies, and Meeting Points for all academy-related projects and trips.

During phase 1 of this growth proposal, the residential building will be re-allocated to serve as a dormitory for the academy to host up to 10 students, of which 2 students will be identified as Resident Assistants to report to the Student Life Director for any facility or spiritual life needs.

Phase 1 will also renovate some of the underutilized space on the campus of Northgate Community Church, including part of the grassy area next to the parsonage to be developed as a sand volleyball court or pickleball court, accompanied by park benches, a fire pit, and any other type of recreational activity

Estimated Cost: $10,000 (To be provided by the Denomination)

Phase 2

During Phase 2, we will evaluate the needs of our students and consider the development of the remainder of the Northgate property to include a multi-purpose facility that could host a gymnasium, additional classroom space, a coffee shop, and/or a pickleball facility.

Estimated Cost: $2,000,000

Phase 3

Phase 3 will include the development of an additional manufactured living space for a second dorm to increase the student population on campus to 20 students.

Estimated Cost: $300,000
